Medieval political languages and themes in Shakespeare’s works
Medieval theology

Current Research projects
Medieval models of political and economic sovereignty; the theory of mixed government (XIVth-XVIth centuries); religious tolerance as concrete option in the later Middle Ages; apocalypticism in late medieval England; just war from Augustine to Wyclif; John Fortescue’s political doctrines; merit, grace, and predestination in the late fourteenth-century English theology.

• 1993: MA in Philosophy at the University of Milan, Italy
• 1995-1998: PhD at the University of Milan, Italy
• 1997: Postgraduate specialization in Archiving, Paleography, and Diplomatics at the Public Record Office School of Milan, Italy
• 1999-2001: Postdoctoral scholar in Medieval Philosophy at the University of Milan, Italy
• 2001-2014: Assistant Professor of Medieval Philosophy at the University of Milan, Italy
• 2001-2003: National coordinator of a research project on Sovereignty between Antiquity and Modern Ages (funded by the National Italian Research Council)
• 2004-2006: Local coordinator of a research project on Common and Private Good in Late Medieval Philosophical Thought (funded by the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities, and Research)
• 2006-2009: Member of the Board of Directors at the University of Milan, Italy
• 2012-2014: President’s Delegate for Student Affairs at the University of Milan, Italy
